Are you suffering from postpartum depression? Newly diagnosed with breast cancer? Recently lost a loved one? Or perhaps life has just thrown so much on your plate that you need assistance with advocacy, resources, and/or navigating the health care system. I am here to assist, I have a strong network of fellow MSW's/LCSW's, nurses, physicians, and therapists that I can tap into if I don't initially have the answer for you. When I had my son in 2017, I was appalled at the lack of postpartum care across the board for the majority of women. My father passed at the age of 65 in 2014 after years of alcoholism following a PTSD diagnosis from Vietnam. I was just beginning my post-graduate career as an MSW at a hospice when he passed. I've counseled those who are so paralyzed in their grief they don't know the next steps to take. I have a tremendous amount of resources I can offer. When I was diagnosed with breast cancer in June of 2020, I felt so overwhelmed and unsure of the support and rights I had available to me. In the months since, I have acquired a great breadth of resources relating to breast cancer. I am passionate about utilizing all that I've learned not only as student in the field but also all the direct experience I've had and continue to build on.
